    Posted: April-10-2013 at 5:24am

Hi All

I am new to using the FMC in the ATR72, but find it very frustrating when manually inputting a flightplan, to get so far into the plan when it suddenly tells me that the next nav point I am trying to enter is "not in the database". In fact quite a LOT of what I thought would be common or popular nav points are not in the database !

I dont wish or know how to import an up to date database from navigraph or the likes, so can anyone tell me if there is a way of finding out which nav points ARE known to the FMC database please ?

I assume that I Will be severely limited to flight planning only in those areas where nav points are known in the database ?

A direct reply to derekkkx@btopenworld.com would be really helpful.

Thanks in advance

Where are you getting your waypoints from?

If you are using something like http://rfinder.asalink.net/free/ you could try planning a route using an old database that is more likely to agree with the one being used by the ATR.

If you using Flightaware.com or any flight planning software, that will always be up to date database and you will continue to get "not in database" errors.

You can always miss out a waypoint, and just enter the next one.

hi Friends i have the same problème like MAA
the approches IAP's (VOR, VORDME, NDB, ILS and RNAV) are available during install, but when I select the FMS/GNSS of ATR-500 (from flight one) in FSX, there are no IAP's (VOR, VORDME, NDB, ILS and RNAV), only SID's and STAR's are available.
