Hey guys,
As title, during the simulator training, performing TAWS (GPWS, EGPWS) procedures in cruise, this question came out of my mind. As PL to the ramp, will u guys remain F0 or set flap to 15? I can't find the actual numbers in FCOM. What I'm sure is that extending flap will cause more drag. As for F0 in performing TAWS: In T/O, F15 I believe is to give a better lift force for lower airspeed, not hundred percent sure it's for a better climb rate than F0. Risk that drag increase during extending flaps. As for F15 in performing TAWS: In GA, we'll set GA pwr and F15 (from 30) for a better climb rate. So the question comes as: PL in notch, better climb gradient in IAS=170 in F15 or F0? PL in ramp, better climb gradient in Vminop in F15 or F0? Thanks for your advice. |
